If you are reading this article chances are you have come across the following error; Not enough server storage is available to process this command and are pulling your hair out trying to figure it out. Not only will I help you fix this issue on your network I will also tell you which applications were the culprit.
I personally solved this error after installing Acronis True Image on my network. All of a sudden I developed network errors and was stumped as to why. It seems after installing Acronis my server no longer had IRPStackSize values in the registry. The DWord value was completely missing. Other applications that may cause this error are Norton Anti Virus – Symantec Endpoint Protection and Seagate Discwizard, which is just Acronis with a different look.
In order to fix this error we must edit the registry. I would advise backing up the registry before continuing. Navigate to the following registry key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters and look for the following DWord value in the right pane IRPStackSize if the value is missing you will have to add it. Click on Edit and choose New select DWord value and enter IRPStackSize.Once you have created the value right click the value and then click on Decimal and type in 18 as the value. Shutdown regedit and reboot your system. If you still have the errors increase the decimal value to 20. Valid values are from 15 to 50.
Hope this solves your issues on your network. Peace.
